Aberdeenshire based Bridal Makeup Artist
With over a decade in the beauty and wedding industry, I’ve dedicated myself to becoming more than just a makeup artist. My goal is simple: I want to not only hear but truly understand your vision and then do everything in my power to bring it to life. I want to be that little fairy on your big day, quietly working/helping behind the scenes ensuring everything runs smoothly for you and your bridal party.
As a creative, I view makeup as a form of art, with your face as a blank canvas. It's not just about hiding imperfections; it's about highlighting the beauty that already exists. If you have freckles, they’re here to stay!
I perfected my skill at the prestigious London College of Fashion specialising in Bridal and Special Occasion Makeup. I knew I wanted to be a part of the wedding industry but I was unsure which route to take, dress maker? Hair stylist? Bridal jewellery? So I settled on something that I knew I could do with the right training and influence.
My makeup style is centred around achieving a soft, glowy, and natural appearance that enhances your best features, applied with professional expertise to ensure long-lasting results.
Behind the brushes
My family and I moved to Aberdeenshire in June 2024, originally from the South East of England, 40 minutes from London. We relocated 600 miles due to my husband's new position and honestly, it was the best decision we have ever made.
As a true ambivert (a balance of extrovert and introvert traits), when I'm not working, you'll often find me being super sociable enjoying coffee with neighbours/friends or browsing the windows of clothes shops for fresh, creative outfit ideas. And when I'm not out and about you'll find me curled on the sofa with a cup of earl grey and a fictionally girlie book about a quiet village and wee lass who is done with city life ... *A tall, bearded local man walks into the café where she now works.* ooooooohhh!
I love spending time outdoors, whether it's hiking, exploring castles, skiing or paddle boarding. I also enjoy plenty of activities that actually keep me warm and dry, such as watching my favourite period dramas or painting.
Currently, I'm learning to play the piano, it's not going too well.
I have two cats, Gus and Flossy, and a six-year-old son—yes, in that order, because the cats require more effort than my boy! Absolute drama queens.
I have a deep passion for all things weddings, including the dress, flowers, jewellery, so much more—I love it all! Weddings have a special magic, and I truly believe I’ve found the ideal job for me!
Embracing a makeup-free lifestyle in Scotland has been a fun journey for me! You'll be surprised to hear that a makeup artist chooses to go bare-faced, but it’s true! I learned to appreciate and embrace my little old face, even in public. It's all about celebrating the unique features that make us who we are! I'll never forget my mum once telling me 'Hols, your sister is pretty but you're attractive!" I'll never truly know what she meant by that, but I think I took it well and maybe I'll just blame my dad for my features.

The Process
1. GET A QUOTE
Drop me an email or fill out the enquiry form, and I’ll get back to you within 48 hours. I’ll send over a personalised quote covering everything you need to know.
2. SECURE YOUR DATE
To lock in your date, just pay the booking fee.
Once I’ve got that, your date’s officially in my diary.
3. COMPLETE YOUR BOOKING FORM
After you book, I’ll send you a booking form to fill out.
It’ll cover all the info and photos needed to nail down your perfect bridal look.
4. SCHEDULE YOUR TRIAL
I suggest scheduling your bridal trial 3-6 months before your wedding. At the trial, we’ll chat and work together to bring your bridal vision to life.
5. WEDDING MORNING SCHEDULE
I’ll put together a personalised schedule for your wedding morning, making sure everything runs smoothly. We’ll consider all the details, from booked services and styling needs to ceremony times. We’ll also set aside extra time for setup, touch-ups, and photos, so you can soak in every moment without any rush.
6. THE WEDDING DAY
On the big day, I will arrive as planned, ready to recreate your bridal look from the preview. You can relax, enjoy the pampering, and get ready to start your happily ever after as the most authentic and beautiful version of yourself.

Bridal Package

HOW DO I BOOK YOU?
If you love my style and think we’d be the perfect fit, please complete the enquiry form on the website. I aim to respond within 48 hours with a quote and details on how to proceed with the booking. To secure your wedding date, a booking fee of £100 is required. This fee is non refundable and will be deducted from the final balance. Upon payment, you’ll receive a confirmation welcome email along with the next steps.
DO YOU TRAVEL TO OTHER AREAS NOT LISTED ON YOUR WEBSITE?
Yes, I love destination weddings and I am happy to travel beyond Aberdeenshire. Travel fees are calculated from my home and will be included in your personalised quote. Depending on location and travel time, accommodation may be required the night before.
I HAVE A LARGE BRIDAL PARTY. DO YOU HAVE A MAXIMUM NUMBER OF SERVICES YOU CAN ACCOMMODATE?
I am accustomed to early starts but understand not everyone wants to rise at dawn on their wedding day! For larger parties or early ceremonies, I may recommend an additional artist to ensure smooth service. A fee of £50 per additional artist will apply.
WHAT BRANDS DO YOU USE IN YOUR KIT?
I curate my kit with top products from various luxury and professional brands selected for their performance and longevity. Some of my favourites include Charlotte Tilbury, Bobbi Brown, Mac, NARS and many more.
WHAT IF A BRIDESMAID WISHED TO HAVE A MORE INTENSE GLAM LOOK?
This is completely your choice. I specialise in a more soft natural look but happy to work with the bridesmaid to potentially compromise on the look, or, if they insist on a heavier look, I would require them to have a trial. The reason for this is so that on the day of the wedding, I have a deeper understanding of her vision and I will be able to complete the look within the allocated time slot.
IS IT COMPULSORY TO HAVE A TRIAL?
Trials are optional but highly recommended. They offer a chance to explore your preferred look, ensure comfort and establish a personal connection with me. Detailed records of products and techniques used are kept to replicate the look seamlessly on your wedding day.
WHEN DO YOU RECOMMEND I BOOK MY TRIAL?
I advise booking your trial three to six months before your wedding day. Appointments are typically available Monday to Thursday during daylight hours to prioritise Friday - Sunday wedding bookings. Appointments outside of these times may be considered under special circumstances but will incur an additional fee, and availability cannot be guaranteed.
WHERE WILL THE TRIAL BE HELD?
I conduct trials at my home in Forgue, Huntly AB54.
Trials can also be held at the brides home, additional charges for travel, congestion and parking may apply.
WHAT HAPPENS AT MY TRIAL?
Your trial includes a thorough consultation to discuss your vision, needs and preferred styles. Visual references you provide help us tailor the perfect look. Detailed notes, product records and reference photos ensure consistent results on your wedding day.
CAN I TRY MORE THAN ONE LOOK AT THE TRIAL?
You may try multiple styles, though we recommend focusing on a general style to avoid confusion and ensure a successful trial.
WHAT HAPPENS ON THE WEDDING DAY?
We aim to make your experience relaxed and enjoyable, ensuring you feel pampered and prepared. Detailed schedules, set-up in advance and last-minute touch-ups ensure you look and feel your best throughout the day.
HOW LONG WILL THE MAKEUP TAKE?
Timing varies based on your needs and other slight interruptions which you may not have planned for (The groom calling because he can't find his tie ...)
Please see below estimated timings for my services:
Consultation/trial: 1.5 - 2 hours
Bride Makeup on the day: 1.5 hours
Bridal Party Makeup on the day: 45 mins -1 hour
Junior light makeup - 10 mins
I also allocate time for set-up and recommend completing services 45 – 60 minutes before you need to leave for the ceremony.
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR THE WEDDING DAY?
Ensuring skin is clean and makeup-free. Normal skincare routines are encouraged. Avoid face masks on the lead up to your day. You may have a reaction which would not be ideal. Pass this information onto your bridal party.
CAN YOU STAY FOR TOUCH UPS THROUGHOUT THE WEDDING DAY?
If you require additional time or a second look/evening style, please inform me when submitting your enquiry. Pricing will be calculated based on your requirements.
CAN YOU HELP ME INTO MY DRESS?
Absolutely! Many brides like to hide their dress from their bridal party until the last minute, so I am always on hand to assist!
I have held the Champagne, popped a cork, tied a cravat, pinned a button hole (I know the correct side!), dried off the flowers, tied a ribbon, entertained a flower girl and comforted a tearful mum- all sub-jobs that I see as the un-declared part of my role as bridal makeup artist and I LOVE IT!
